Racing today

They've done some job of the jockey reshuffling today! Leopardstown only inspected at 8am. So the Irish jockeys only found out after that, and Paul Townend has managed to get on a plane, get to Sandown and jock Harry Cobden off Kitzbuhel. Ditto Jack Kennedy.

ETA and now he wishes he'd stayed at home 🙈
Always going to be a long way to come for one ride!

Sean Bowen flew back from Dublin this morning to ride at Sandown instead now back to Dublin.

There was a really good article that you were so back by Patrick Mullins about travelling here there and everywhere for rides.

Funnily enough Asterion Forlonge, who was one of theirs, also broke his pelvis at Cheltenham, whilst running in the Gold Cup. He returned to the track at the top level. He just retired this season aged 11.

I had an Owners Group horse that broke his pelvis and returned to racing, he won again, but he was obviously "one of those" and kept getting injuries, so he was retired after a training setback. He was rehomed after recovering.

Sone really quality racing today on ITV from Leopardstown - Lossiemouth, Brighterdaysahead, Marine Nationale, Majborough to name a few!

Also looking forward to Davy Crockett (one of Annie Power’s foals) as well.

I hope one day I can make the trip over for the Dublin Racing Festival and also see the Irish National Stud as well.

Yes want to go to the Irish National Stud too.

The Dublin chase looks a good one.

Now my Harry might have kept the horse straight in the first place.
😁🤣🤣.
It did look ouch.
HC hits the deck at Leopardstown I think after The Reverend clipped heels.

I didn’t think LM looked particularly fluent over her hurdles today, normally she’s slick and quick in the air. She made a mistake early on and then show jumped one on the back straight as well.

BDA is going to the champion hurdle not the mares at Cheltenham according to GE.
