Coblet's a pain in the arse! He jumps out of stables but will go in if he has the yard too over night,so basically out 24/7. He will eat his hay in the stable, then spend the rest of the night outside...in the rain...getting soaked
Hes gone through about 4 rugs in the past few days and theyre getting wet quicker than theyre drying -.-
He has 2x Lightweights with no neck attachments, 1 LW combo and 1 MW whick hes currently in and a LW neck attached to it...and theyre all wet now!!

Hes a cob, currently owns over 10 rugs... and still seems not enough! ggrrr

Nooooooooooooo!

I hate the idea of not having enough rugs. Oh dear my rug buying is not under control and I must buy more! My poor neds have alot less than 10 each. :(

I have the same problem. Annoyingly, I have a rug dryer, but no mains electric at the yard and no chance of affording it, luckily mine are all happy to be in and as long as they are not wet under their rugs, wear them overnight to dry them out :p

Sounds like you need to buy some better quality rugs or get them reproofed, mines out 24/7 and has had the same rug on for all the rain and has been perfectly dry under it the entire time.

I find that a thin rug always leaks in heavy rain, even when just reproofed.

Mine's been out in a M/W Weatherbeeta with no leakage, even after 3 years of usage, just a bit of water getting in under her neck as it is a standard cut, but that happens with any brand on her.
