Sorry for the Playground nature of this post:(
She's made me sooo cross
mad.gif

After a year of pandering to her and her horses every whim and then washing down, painting etc the stables as she was too un motivated to get cracking on it I'd have thought she'd have at least had an ounce of thanks .
What a manipulative old bitch she has turned out to be
mad.gif

She ran the yard like a prison, dictating the times we could and couldn't turn up, leave etc We had to sometimes go to the yard 3 times a day BECAUSE HER horse couldn't be left in 1 particular field all day and she couldn't bring them all over on her own.
The other girl was lazy BUT she was wiser than me, she left.
YM wanted other liveries so I advertised for her and got 2 more, 1 hasn't arrived yet though
frown.gif

To cut it short the YM has arranged for the newbie to turn her(YM) horse out with hers in the early morning and my horse has been left in till I get there.
I'd say fair enough BUT last year the YM forbade me to come early because her horse would get upset AND I did as requested.
Theres lots of other things, it boils down to this:
The YM is nice when she wants something for nothing, she has not once returned the many favours I've done for her

She does not run a livery yard she runs a babysitting service for her horse

My spiteful self is thinking

Now the new horse goes frantic if he is left on his own, either stable or field, so when the YM says she is riding should I say
'Shame, I'm taking my horse out today and since you have taken responsibility for the new one then you'll have to not ride'
shocked.gif

And two, the YM is away for nearly 2 months very soon and after all this she had the cheek to ask if I'd be around when the farrier next comes OMG Yes I'll be around for MY horse but I think YM better get someone in to do hers

Sorry for sounding like a right old rambling cow myself, I truly went above and beyond the call of duty! at this yard and feel really upset and angry, again.

I know I should just leave but
1/ I've just painted all the stables
smile.gif

2/ It has transpired I'm not the first person she has done this to and I really don't want her to drive me out

Thanks for reading

LEAVE.

I have experienced people like this, and worse.

They DO NOT change and DO NOT acknowledge your imput.

You might as well poke yourself in the eyes as wait for any thanks.

I must be so naive, it's beyond me that people can be so b***** nasty and I don't like feling I should sink to their level
Thanks for your support

ERM leave, shes not going to get any better and to be fair your neddy doesnt care wether its stable has been painted or not!!

Did you write about her awhile ago,TBH I could not be getting this worked up over a YO who quite clearly counts her self first.....Sorry find another yard where you can enjoy your horse, without, pandering to her demands...End of!
crazy.gif

Sort yourself out another yard & leave......you should be able to go to your yard whenever you want & be able to enjoy your horse. It sounds like there are so many restrictions on you that you aren't enjoying it very much. Don't be stubborn....just find somewhere else.

Yes, she was REALLY nice when the OP left (funnily enough she was going away for a week then too
wink.gif
)and then SNAP as soon as newbie arrived she grew horns overnight again, big time .

or you could just bill her for the work and care of her horse whilst she's on holiday for two months at the naitonal minimum wage.............

(and then leave)

I have the very solution
laugh.gif
Bring your ponio to me - I need all my stables painting, some weeding done along with a bit of fencing. You sound like the very person I have been looking for. Oh, by the way, you can have half a day off each week for being so good

Time for a giggle at YM expense:
When the OP handed in her notice the YM stated she could not leave until she-YM- had returned from holday.
OP waited and on YM return OP said she was leaving the following day
YM stated she couldn't leave until there was a replacement livery
OMG
shocked.gif

OP left as arranged
grin.gif

I then had to contend with the YM saying she was considering having her horse PTS if he didn't settle when the others left
OMG , her horse is young teen with years of hacking left.

Toby, yes I can be a stubborn Mrs sometimes and I see I'm cutting my nose off to spite my face this time
frown.gif

I'm not happy there, I guess I just don't relish the thought of having to move her as she doesn't settle easily.
But as putting her to sleep is not an option
wink.gif
I guess it's time to look at alternatives
If nothing else I fear I may get TOMATOED by you guys if I mention YM again LOL

LOL

I'm VERY efficient at all that and grovel in gratitude at your kindly holiday allowance

well if shes that bad def leave SOON, if you want to stay then perhaps try talking to her, perhaps! state what you're not happy with and ask her to sort it out, if she rants then you;re no worse off and can leave anyway! ......(hides under desk at possibility of poor suggestion!)

Id pack my stuff and been gone !!! I have this but im on the other side as YO and think that some liveries do not understand the problems we face everyday !! I know you are providing a service but when the fencing cant be done as its peeing down with rain then they moan there horse is in a smaller paddock than normal (becuase it has the most grass) i wonder if they would be out there doing fencing in the peeing down rain !!

i think you should leave - you are also too nice for your own good - dont offer to help out - you are paying for a service for your horse so just keep it very business like. I was in the same situation and it helped me! Good luck.

I understand your confusion LOL
I'm a livery- i.e I pay for a stable and grazing only

Right, well in that case. Tell her your leaving, hand in your notice in writing with an invoice for all the work youve done.
Simple!

I agree - you've tried all the nice approaches and they don't work, so short of finding a magic lamp and getting a genie to give her a personality transplant, I'd say you were out of options. Give her the absolute minimum of notice required and find somewhere nicer.

If she tries to give you that load of codswallop about having to have her horse put down because she can't afford him, call her bluff. She's an emotional blackmailer.
