My pony has RAO, he was scoped a couple of yes ago. He has been living out as much as possible (weather dependant). He is very fat so is on restricted feed as the weight will not help his breathing. We are in a catch 22 situation though as we can't exercise him as he struggles even in walk and no exercise means weight gain.
He is on inhalers and global herbs airways. I feel his breathing is getting progressively worse and have decided if no improvement by July then i will PTS as it is kinder for him but would like to give him a chance to prove me wrong.
Is there anything else a horse with RAO can have? He is also extremely gassy (rear end!!) And has soaked hay.
