Hello to all you RAW feeders!
Just a post to say what dogs you have, what they do (if anything), what RAW you feed, suppliers etc. - Always good to get more info!
I'm relatively new to RAW, been feeding for about 3 weeks now, but in that 3 weeks, his itchy skin has reduced incredibly and I swear his temperament has improved! (Still a little nutter and full of energy, but there's just something different!) I've got a Jack Russell x Fox Terrier - Wibble. He's a flyball doggy (and doing very well too - proud mummy moment!
)
I started off getting trimmings and bones from a local butcher, to see if Wibble liked it. Of course - he did, so then spoke to other RAW feeders, and ordered a months worth of food from MVM. Got a selection of their minced "tubes" - beef and tripe, chicken carcass, lamb and beef and something else, along with some pigs trotters, pig heart and liver chunks. As treats, I also have 1kg of chicken feet sitting in my freezer (triple bagged!) which he absolutely LOVES. Can't say I overly enjoy the crunching, but it doesn't take him long!
I know people are split 2 ways when it comes to feeding chicken bones etc, and I've been told by quite a few RAW, that as long as they're NOT cooked - it's fine. I don't give him anything chicken bone style, apart from the feet. The carcass is minced already. I'm plucking up the courage to order him a pigs head next time I order!
So, what do you feed etc!
