Have great big fireworks going off outside. Kevin and Perry are snoring on the settee.
Mine don't mind either, and I am so grateful.
My theory is that we are such a bloomin noisy bunch that fireworks are a breeze!
mine are not bothered by them and i think i am lucky as lots of friends have problems.
(none of my dogs in the past have ever been upset by them)
One of my dogs was killed last night when she ran blindly away from home (escaped) and on to a main road during a display. To say we are devastated is an understatement.

this didn't work with my lurcher, I don't like fireworks because of the impact on animals but am not bothered by them so I was really surprised when my lurcher had such a bad reaction..however its also storms, shooting, very loud noises that set her off. I got my collie cross as a puppy when my lurcher was nearly 3 and she has no problem with anything which upsets my lurcher....so I don't think can be anything I do....some dogs must be more sensitive than others.....so sorry to hear welshD s sad news, the sooner the things are banned the better IMO!!!So sorry to hear that sad news welshD.
Mine don't notice fireworks either, not even a stir. Wonder why some are bothered and some just aren't? I read that if you totally ignore such things as fireworks from day one and act as if everything is calm and normal, this can have an impact on a dogs reaction to them. Not sure how reliable this theory is though.
