We successfuly got up at 4 am this morning to go to Gt Witchingham. Hubby warmed up well for dressage - and then bronced in both canters....which trashed his score (more so than usual!!). We were all thrilled with his trot work though....
A quick swap of tack and I stuck some boots on then hubby hit the show jumping collecting ring...literally.
After a few big, fast jumps, Bob over jumped the vertical practice fence (down hill) and as he landed, he stood on the back of his front rubber overreach boot with a hind foot.
He head butted the ground and span 180...skidding along on his knees and then his head and saddle for about 18 foot, throwing hubby in front of him. As they stood up, hubby reached out to grab him and it was at this point he realised his arm wasnt working.... that was at 11am this morning. Poor hubby had to drive the lorry the whole 2 hour trip home with only his left hand !
We have just got back from a&e...his shoulder is very badly dislocated - but they cant put it in for him until Monday as they have no one available to do it !
Bob is fine...no injuries other than a bloody lip. Many thanks to the kind lady who caught him and walked him round while hubby waited for the paramedics.
It could have been far worse - Hubby even asked the paramedics if they could strap it so he could continue , the nutter. The whole shoulder bone is poking through his skin, it looks disgusting.
So Ive now got 4 horses to do and a full time job to hold down....anyone know how to work a hoover ? and just what exactly are "white" and "coloured" loads ??
