I'm looking for a dressage saddle with quite a deep seat and fair sized knee blocks to suit a horse with relatively high withers, any ideas on what to try? Haven't got the money to spend loads and loads but enough for a nice enough second hand one.

Anyone had experiences of Prestige? They seem to be quite reasonably priced for nice saddles.. ?

There are loads of options, the optimax is wonderful but was way out of my budget so i had a jaguar which i loved and was afforable. I found the suzannah also very nice. The albions are lovely but afew models feel like alot of saddle between you and the horse which i dont like.

I'm looking at albions for mine as I can realistically only afford a second hand good saddle. My jump saddle is an Albion, so I reason that these are most likely to fit my horse, although I will get any fitted properly!

I've got a Fieldhouse cutback head dressage saddle I had for my old horse who was high withered and it is a lovely saddle, very comfy although old. PM me if interested as it's too big for new horse sadly although I'm tempted to hang on to it for future as has fitted most larger horses I've shared. Would recommend a cutback head whatever you go for but not overly familiar with newer models.

Go and see Nathaniel Underwood. He has a good selection and I am very pleased with his own make dressage saddle for my high withered WB. I needed something to give me more security in sitting trot with a big moving horse and it has certainly helped.
