Boos' coat is starting to look a little tired after being sponged/hosed after work daily..
Can any of you recommend me a body wash that I can use to keep her coat nice?

The Camrosa super-concentrated shampoo is brilliant.... you only need a teaspoon for a bucket of water... smells nice, adds shine, removed dead stuff from the coat and keeps the flies away...
 
I've been using Ice Blue leg cooler mixed into cold water when hosing/sponging off after exercise- its supposed to be good for their muscles and makes them smell nice and minty! and their coats are really clean!!
 
Barrier's lavendar wash - I always add it to the water whilst sponging off. No need to rinse, great for the muscles and makes the horse smell fab.
 
i use a lavender wash from horse health, is fantastic, use it all the time esp after a xc run, smells heavenly and leaves the coat silky soft

Sounds as though the lavender wash is pretty good - how long does a bottle last, roughly?

I like the idea of the Camrosa shampoo though too

I make this up - only takes a minute and leaves them lovely and sweet smelling. Oils help with a glossy coat.

2 teaspoons each of lavender, tea tree and peppermint oil plus 2 tablespoons of baby shampoo. Put in gallon bucket of water.

Just apply with a large sponge - cleans the sweat off and leaves you with a lovely relaxed and sweet smelling horse. No need to rinse.

In winter I make the same up, but drop the baby shampoo and use a drop of dettol and very hot water. I then dip in an old towel, wring dry and hot towel the coat - wear rubber gloves to avoid burning your hands. Obviously cool the towel down slightly for a new clipped horse, then lay it on the horse leave for a few seconds and wipe hard to remove dirt and grease.
