Recommend me a synthetic bridle

I'm fed up with all the rain!
To prevent my saddle getting ruined I have finally given in and bought a waterproof saddle cover to save me going out bareback.

I'd like a bridle which won't get ruined in the rain, thinking webbing or similar so I can ride at the beach or through the mud and then chuck it in the machine :)

My pony is a highland gelding so quite big head! I don't really care about the colour but if it were fun that would be even better, his xc colours are navy and red or navy/pink. I don't mind bling....

Suggestions please...
 
I bought the Kincade Web Bridle last month as I was fed up with my leather bridle getting soaked then having to keep cleaning it. It cost £9 and I did wonder how the fit would be but it fits great and I have loved it in all the rain!
 
Plas Eq (I think the soft plastic is caled 'cormorant' material)

or Performance Equestrian, or just google Zilco. Can also try Pioneer Harness.
 
I have a black biothane one for sale in black with biogrip reins, its lovely and soft. In a cob/Arab size but it is fully adjustable. It's the beta biothane that looks like leather, pm me if interested.
 
Mine is made by Roma, has lasted 3 years and is still going strong, only thing I've had to replace is the reins.

I love it and the best thing is it can just be chucked in the washing machine and I don't care if it gets covered in mud.

Also means the Stubben can be saved for dry days :)
 
I have used Libby's bridles for everyday bridles for years. Pop them in the washing machine and they come out like new and virtually dry. I only have black or brown, not really into coloured ones.
 
Second Dave Wilson equestrian: dunno how they got the stuff to me so quick!!! :)

Have a feeling "Performance Equestrian" do them too: a lot of the endurance people shop with them, so from memory, think they do. Again, very helpful & knowledgeable people.

I'd like to like Libby's (now Polypad) BUT unfortunately the metal they use for their fastenings on their webbing bridles invariably rusts :( - its a great pity; WTF they don't use stainless steel beats me. Also, after a few washes, their webbing bridles can look a bit jaded. I bought their snap-together (no buckles) bridle but had to send it back coz the fastenings were so blimmin hard to get in; even my builder who was here at the time couldn't do it!! BUT a very useful concept, and I think they were one of the first to offer "combination" bridles, i.e. headcollar cum bridle which is just SO handy.

Also, there's the bog-standard Wintec bridle (and they also do reins and martingale too) if you just want something that doesn't necessary scream "synthetic" at you. I've got one and its very serviceable; and you wouldn't know it was synthetic by looking at it.
 
Have ordered a cobalt blue one from the performance folks.
Dave only had red or black in stock in the simpler designs. There are some really great ones if you want the head collar and bridle type but I needed it to be simple for comfort.

Will look into the wintec ones as an alternative to the leather for my horse, but he's having some time off just now so it's not such a bother to wipe his leather one over on the odd occasion he is out.

Pioneer harness. Just google them. Zoe will make you one up really quickly in any colours you want - they are fab. I've got the ones that are basically a head collar and a headpiece that clip together. You can take the headpiece off really quickly so the horse then has a head collar on - brilliant for travelling!
 
I don't have one but my driving harness is zilco and it's very nice stuff and they make bridles that's what I would get I often thought about it like you to save the tack in bad weather but would need three and always have some slse I need more .
 
I have a cobalt blue bridle too for my chestnut with loads of white. Why be subtle!;)
 
None of my Libby's bridles have got any rust on the fitings and they wash up like new. They are pretty old so mabe the quality isn't as good any more??.
