Hey. So about 3 weeks ago I had to have my horse shod. The livery yard were against me using a different farrier ( its complicated). Anyway long story short, I made the farrier aware of the situation as I wanted to cancel him going, he assured me he didnt care about the situation going on in the yard and was going to shoe my horse. But I had to pay before he got to the yard which I did, plus i added as a kindness another 10£ for the hassle.
He ended up being there for 1 hour and a half and they had deliberately moved my horse so he couldn't shoe her so I asked if he could shoe her when she moved.
I managed to move her a week later and send him a text to say that she did on the Thursday was told he would book her . Come Wednesday I still haven't heard anything... Sunday I get a text saying he is on holiday and will book her in the following week. Days go by and I here nothing. Sent another text friday and saturday - nothing.
Today I sent a text asking for a refund for the money so I can reschedule a different farrier.
I get this reply..
Hi Anna, I haven't been ignoring, Iv been getting my work done and been away with the family, havnt been able to rebook you in yet as have work booked in and when people cancel or are having trouble at a yard and the farrier isn't able to do the horse through no fault of his own, it's not as easy to just fit someone in as clients are already booked in with there slots! I'm happy to refund you some of the money, but as I did explain I was there for 1 and half hours trying to get to your horse to be shod, plus the 45 minutes drive there, I'm afraid I'm going to have to charge you for my time! I was told the horse was going to be there and ready and someone to
Hold the horse! The things that's going on between you guys is nothing to do with me, but was a waist of my time.
I was honest with him on the phone from the start and he said he was local from where my livery was..
3 weeks later my horse has still no shoes and I have paid him 90£...
