Reiki/ horse healing and horse communicators?

Always agree that good trainers are the right way to go.

But disagree that she should sell the horse rather than get a communicator out - thats just being stubborn and chopping your nose off to spite your face - it MIGHT just be the solution, and MIGHT just save the horse ending up in another home that cant cure the rearing, become harder to correct because its a been a habit for so long, and eventually end up being pts or in the sales.

I have said all I want to say for the OP, I think OP has heard all she needs to on the subject.

seconded, I am not reading back through the resultant slanging match about AC's, but as glitterbug, I used Gaynor as a final resort on my WB. It was for something I thought was a behavioural issue - horse behaving terribly on lorry - she said he had a physical issue with his hip, problem instantly resolved by a chiropractor. I have no idea how she did it, and I didn't believe her until the chiropractor sorted the problem.
 
Having had a communicator out I have found it most helpful to see things from my ponies point of view. Of course I am not expecting to get on her and things to instantly be cured as that would be crazy but I have be given plenty to work on.

Very glad I choose the option and I will def consider it for another horse again.
 
Thats great that it was a positive experience! Keep us updated.

Its a shame it turned into a slagging match, and I dont think i'm the pot calling the kettle black because I was simply defending myself when I was insulted. Hopefully thats that now - i'll try to ignore any more insults.

Ngrace , Im sorry that you have taken this personally but instead concider that labelling anyone who advocates this nonsence delusional to be more precise, But I will always take what you say with a pinch of salt - As your advice that by using one of these "Performers" an accident could be avoided says it all.

Just to reiterate , Im sure that communicators are lovely people who may themselves believe that they are going a worth while positive thing. But to believe something to be true is not the same as the actual truth.

Please don't encourage people to spend money on this , there are vulnerable people who love there horses so much that they would try anything to resolve issues , sort problems or just generally try and help the animals they care about. But this nonsense is a farce that should not be condoned.

To the OP, have you tried turning the pony round to face backwards at the start? That's what I used to do with my over-excited arab. For some reason that seemed to calm him!

He'd then turn on a six-pence and gooooo!!!

Really, I agree with what others have said on here, that in reality, he probably finds the whole thing much too exciting and this is his way of 'boiling over'.

Once they're over-excited/stressed, it's very hard to stop any association with the exciting life!.... he needs 6-12 months of quiet hacking/laid back schooling.
