I'm off work poorly and feeling a bit better so thought I'd watch some telly. Nothing on so put the dressage freestyle on on sky plus.

Loving it!! Just watched Rubi the piaffe machine. Austrian girl on next.

Lovely memories of last year I was there and had an amazing day.

What was your fave bit of the Olympics for you? Mine was def when the girl and her mum next to me grabbed me and we jumped about screaming when Charlotte's win was shown on the board. So emotional.

Any memories?

Mine was being there to watch the showjumping team win gold for the first time in 60 years. Fantastic atmosphere! :D

Spending the xc day with my beautiful daughter kniwing she was off to aussie soon. a special mum and daughter day doing what we both love. The sound carrying our riders round. awesome.

I went to the Paralympics - I was there for Deb Criddle and Sophie Christiansen's first tests. I went with a non horsey friend and our pony made girls. I thought the friend and possibly even the girls might be bored with the walk-only 1a tests, but we were all absolutely spellbound watching. And at the end, doing the "silent applause" until the horse was safely under the handler's control was just surreal - like someone had pressed the mute button on the world. Fantastic experience, just a shame Channel 4 didn't show it on TV as I would have loved to watch it all.

Awww Rubi was awesome :D
My faves were Charlotte's win, obv ;) watched on tv while I was supposed to be working ... providing text commentary to my friend who WAS working :p

and watching Nicola Wilson go round the XC, so pleased that I managed to get the tickets.
It was all great though, wasn't it? :D

Oooh yeah, I went to the paralympics too - it was a really lovely day out. I was sitting next to some people who had no idea about equestrian sports (I think the husband was a boxer ). They had just bought tickets for anything and everything to get a flavour of the whole event. We had a lovely afternoon talking about the action :)

^^^^ Para Dressage for me too. Made me cry on more than one occasion. Such strong powerful creatures that looked after their riders so well. Also the riders with such severe disabilities that were riding where just unbelievable. Their smiles said it all.

I have so many favourite moments!! I was in the stadium when Team GB show jumpers took the team gold, that was a truly magical moment! I have never been as tense as I was when Peter Charles was approaching that final fence. Honestly you could have heard a pin drop as Vindicat took off, and it was like he jumped in slow motion! As he landed, the entire stadium went wild, I feel so lucky to have been there!

I am such a huge Olympics fan, even getting glued to the completely random bits and I've always dreamt of going so to pick a single moment is impossible!
I was lucky enough to go to all of the 3 day event. Cheering the Brits on and lusting after Lenamore in cross country with my friends and feeling exhausted with emotion after the showjumping parts.
Lucky enough to get a day to one of the SJ heats and making a new friend out of a Kiwi girl that had come over specially.
And sitting in awe at what the paralympic riders can do!
It was well worth being unemployed at the time!
I live near Greenwich Park and I always get wistful walking through "Oh here is the boating pond, and this is where the Saturn jump was...."

I was at the XC day & was at the finish when Zara came in within time, definitely my favourite moment of the day! The whole day just had an amazing atmosphere and hearing where the British riders were from the screams moving round the course was incredible.

My favourite bits:

Receiving my tickets for the xc day!
Seeing WFP setting off
Seeing MK set off
Seeing ZP set off
Walking the course
Seeing Lucinda refuse the water jump and getting it on camera:o
the wonderful weather (how did that happen?!)
the chilled magners cider!
the wonderful setting
after 36 hrs awake to travel and watch the xc, getting the last paddington to redruth sleeper cabin for £50
My photos (well a few of them)....
