Its been a while since I posted. I sold up for a few years and last year I bought myself a traditional cob. Im getting too old for sillyness and she is just perfect for me. She is 8 years old and has always been barefoot. Ever since I have had her she has been footy on stoney tracks. Ive tried fiddling with her diet which I try and keep as low in sugar as I can but not really seen much difference. So I decided to try hoof boots on front.
With liz help from hoofbootique we have finally received our new pair of vipers. I rode in them yesterday for 25 minutes. But they both twisted. One more significantly than the other. I have watched dozen of fitting videos but not one of them explain how snug the heel captivator should be, or how tmuch tension there should be on the front strap. I have emailed liz and she doesnt think it is because they are too small as the renegade website would suggest. I will be sending lots of pictures to liz today. But in the meantime could anyone who knows these boots give me a few pointers please?
I am desperate to get this sorted, cob in question is too portly for my liking and due to having a couple of months off over winter we are at week 3 of our fittening programme but her feet are struggling with keeping up with the required amount of roadwork at the moment so we have come to a bit of a standstill. We dont have a school so I really am struggling.
Thanks for taking the time to read my essay.
