Repair of zip on boots ?

Not sure if this is the right place or if it seems a silly question but ....

The zip on my long MH boots has broken. Its not the actual zip but the little tab thing that you use to pull them up. Is it possible to have it fixed and will it be costly? Will the entire zip need replacing do you think?

Don't know how long you've had the but you could try shop where you bought them or Mountain Horse.My friend had same problem with AriatsTookback to shop and they sent them to Ariat who repaired them free of charge.Mind you hers were only 6/7 months old

Same thing happened to my ariats got a leather work guy to put a leather tab on the back as it was cheaper than replacing the zips !

The cobbler in our high street put a new zip in a pair of my riding boots last year, cost only about £20 which I was happy with.

replacing the whole zip can cost up to £30 depending where you go - its a really fiddly job, if you can just replace the tab it'll be much cheaper!!

Thanks everyone Even if I end up paying £30 it will be ok as I love the boots - had them about 4 years but only use for them shows and cant even remember which saddler I got them from. Was gutted that the tab broke.
