Replacement Boot Zips

I know this has been done before so I tried a search first but didn't come up with much!

So, I have a pair of boots that need a new zip. Can anyone recommend a company who can put new zips in? they aren't actually riding boots but don't think that matters - I don't care who does it, I just want to be able to wear them again!

Last time I saw this discussed, I remember seeing a company that should be avoided

which is irritating as I can't seem to find anyone else to try.

I take mine to my local motorbike shop - tend to be cheaper than dedicated horse shops and the zips I have had put in are far more robust than the previous zips

there is a online company, if you google what you need they should come up, its something like fixmyzips.co.uk, the only thing is you incurr postage.
maybe a local cobbler could do it?

Thanks both, never thought about a motorbike shop (don't even know if there is one near by but will try to find out). Local cobbler screwed up the last pair of shoes I took there which is why I am looking elsewhere!

Can I ask how much a local coblers is FCRepairs want £45 plus £15 for the return postage. I need to get mine done too

Mountain Horse charge £20 for a new long zip and you only pay postage one way if anyones got any broken MH boots or jackets.
