Report of 2 dead horse's

I work for the council and we had a really strange report yesterday of two dead horses in a field. When our gangs arrived at "the site" there was a mare and her foal dead in the field behid an electric station. Acording to the men that went they had been dead a while!!!!

We then rang the police and told them, they said they would ring RSPCA as they would need their help. So nothing will happen from this, or am I just beeing hard on RSPCA and police?

Police also think that both horses had been left by "travlers" or what ever the corect name for them is.

How can anyone just leave a little baby and its mother to slowly die?? Whats wrong with these poeple???????

Horrible situation. Apparently more and more horses are being abandoned at the moment.

Maybe the horses died of natural causes and the travellers dumped the bodies there rather than getting rid of them properly? I hope they weren't left there alive to die slowly.

It costs quite a lot to dispose of carcases so maybe they just died of natural causes and were dumped there?

What a shame...I think just dumped as a mare and foal both dying of Natural Causes....

Who says they were left to slowly die

They may have been, but could equally have been dumped after death.
I'm sure the police/RSPCA/Council will do something, as the bodies have to be removed, but it is unlikely they will trace thw 'owners'
