Rescue fund raising

scrap that cafepress only pay you a commission on your sales...should be the other way round IMO, for a charity anyway!

Guys Im very grateful and yet very baffled:confused: most of what u are going on about is going over me head:o

We have a logo, its a dog with its luggage in its gob, I can try and scan a rehoming contract onto here so u can see the logo in the corner, I personally think the logo is s h i t, but me mams friend drew it up for her:rolleyes:

My logois better, if u sore me business flyer u would be impressed, and I designed it me self but I pais alot of money to have them made up to my specification:( I would never beable to justify using the same publications co for the rescue as I did for my boarding.

Again guys , remind me why someone would walk around with some random rescue merchandise:confused: sorry, u see i would not, so maybe Im just thinking of me:D

I think the calanders would be fab and I could sell them direct through the surgeries, but do u really think they would sell on a site?
suppose I could get

Lizness
Carey
Starbucks
Rara (possibly soon):rolleyes::D

To buy them and put their moots in:D

I have all me goodies inwhat I bought today they like rather fab,I will take somepics and show ya, and Im sorting the portrait paper work out for that raffle.

Im going to look for someone to do a cat portrait one, if anyone knows anybody that may cover that one, maybe stroppymares friend?

Do you have the logo saved somewhere to your computer? That'd be easier than scanning it, just upload the piccie :)

If it's poo we'll make Vizslak redo it :p

They buy the merch for the same reason they donate, makes them feel good :p Oh, and they get a nifty key ring or mug or something too, wheeee!

I need a supply of cheap washable hoodies/sweatshirts to wear for dog walking and mucking out, might as well buy charity ones if they're going to end up covered in shite and hair. :p

Plus it's free advertising, I wear loads of rubbish with writing on (funny t-shirts, Help for Heroes hoodies etc.) and people do stop to ask you about it. Can always pretend that Dax came from you and people will be banging the door down to get one from you (har har :p).

right me dear...of course people will buy them...people buy the stuff purely because they know the money goes to the charity...they just get something out of the equation too, people like to feel they are donating but also getting something in return...people are odd like that! ;) Also...you have contact details of all your past rescues new homes yes? These people will buy stuff....a calander every year, a fridge magnet, a book mark, what ever, they will want to trust me ;) Best way of targetting them is having an bi annual newsletter to send out to people and stick a products and order form leaflet in with it.

Nope not in me puter:( I really dont mind a new logo if anyone wants to design a sad looking dog???
I will ry and copy and scan u can have a laugh at the s h i t n e s s the dog "I call it a smiling camel":D looks a tad bit retarded, its on me mams doggy /rescue/ambulance van thing.

Where is the best place to go for these merchandise things, obs first we need a good logo once we agree the camel is crap.

Give me a tick will lick u to OH so he will upload.

ditto this...I will wear any hoodie (as long as its not really corny) to walk dogs and do the horses in, if the money goes to a good charity instead of a big firm then thats even better as far as I'm concerned.

Silly question, what's the name of the rescue? My OH is a member of an IT geek forum and they have people on there who knock up logos for free for other members, some of it's really good stuff, worth a try to see what they come up with. :)

good plan...I'm as lazy as Cayla so if they do a good one then thats fine by me :p :D If they are all pants then I will do a better one just cos I will believe I can ;) :D

Cat pic-ask Flibble on here.....

scan0001-2.jpg

It a bit poor quality, its a shaggy sandy X breed with a botique shopping bag:D

LMFAO blacob, I get ya, I may wear some rescue things for cleaning s h i tor summit or walking dogs.
I also desperatley love poeple getting me fridge magnets to pin crap to the fridge:D

LMAO I am following this thread with huge interest :D Cant offer any help I'm afraid cos I have the creative talent of a dead squid, but I wear Nottinghamshire Law School hoodies for mucking out simply cos the ones GRWE do are not to my taste :D So would definitely support the charity :):):)

You might wanna redesign the logo though Cayla

AM actually crying with laughter...sat here on me own, looking at the camel and CRYING with laughter...this I fear does not portray the correct image for your charity! :D :D :D

A DIY affair might be best for the doggy biscuits? You can get plastic ziplock/sealable (sp?) type bags in large batches very cheaply (or beg some, for a charitable cause :D). You could then print the labels at home to stick on the bag. Would just need some label-style sticky printer paper from any large stationary shop.
