Richard Maxwell - still working?

Update - no response from Richard Maxwell, but I paid the £150 for his videos and slowly cracked on. I just needed a consistent method.
5 days later, and the horse loads itself ….. but then unloads itself so we are working on it standing quietly on the box while I faff a bit (my box isn’t that user friendly) this I think is going to take a lot of patience.
Braving myself for the closing the ramp stage, this is when she starts to panic, but I just keep reminding myself better to do it slowly over days and build up solid confidence than rush and ruin our progress.
Goodness knows how the actually driving will go but going to go with his suggestions (short trips round the field) before we even dream about the open road.

Good luck! I’ve been in your position. You’re doing the right thing by building the horse’s confidence slowly. My current horse would load but didn’t travel well, i had to find a set up that worked for him (plenty of room for him to choose how to stand) and gradually building up the distance travelled

I had a nightmare trying to get hold of Richard. First emailed January last year, rang, messaged on facebook. Tried again later in the year and again in March this year. I then reached out to Grant Bazin who replied immediately and was out solving the issue within a week and did an amazing job. Horse loaded within 10 minutes and on every time since.
Ironically, RM responded to my email the day Grant was here. This was only earlier this month.

I've heard good things about Grant Bazin too. In fact it was about this time last year I sent him a messenger on his page and he replied very quickly.
I'm a big MP fan, but would possibly reach out to Grant first as he's more local.

Rigs used to be a bad loader, and quickly became good to load. he too, however, wanted to get off again quite quickly.

I decided not to stop him.

As soon as he got off, he was ground worked to move back, side forwards etc. I did groundwork kindly but vigorously. Then, offered for him to get back on the box. After a few sessions, he realised that the box was a better place to be, as he was allowed to rest and eat, and no longer wanted to get off.

please speak to grant, he is great. i have known him for years and have recommended him to loads of different people who have had loading issues. all have been really pleased with his advice.

We managed to get hold of Richard very easily , emailed him he replied in a few days , and was over the next Sunday . Suspect being local helps .
