Ridden a famous horse?

Just wondering if anyone has ever ridden a famous horse?
My small claims to fame are riding William Fox Pitt's Ballincola and Jodie Lister's Nicky.
Anyone got any interesting stories?
 
None that famous, a couple well-ish known in the right circles !!!
Racking my brains trying think now!
Rode a couple of horses that did Badminton (not with me on them LOL!) and rode a hurdler called Danegold who I think was fairly well known.
 
I offered to hack Corrada out when she was on holiday at the stud where Hannah was just after winning the Hickstead Derby (can't remember which time). Strangely they declined my offer

Only ex-race horses that were well known in the local area in their day.

Would love to have a go on loads, could compile a massive list.
 
Rode Landfurst in germany a few years before he was pts. I've ridden the stallion "Out of Touch", and sat on all the gp sjers in our yard that would be famous in ireland...
 
Well I didnt ride I but I got to meet Lochsong just after she retired to stud - must have been at school still, my mum arranged for me to go and see her, and this was years ago! Does anyone even remember her???
 
Archies next door neighbour is 'Sandros Whisker'. Geoff Billingtons old ride. He was a stallion until 8, then got gelded. Hes had many sucessful foals and is a lovely horse. My friend owns him along with her other Grade A.
 
Not ridden any famous ones, but have met most of William Fox Pitt's current horses and stroked them as have been to their yard. Also saw Fresh Direct Animation (now ridden Tim Stockdale) before she was a famous SJ as the owner is local to me. She had such a big jump she used to zoom off out of the practice ring after a jump.
 
Haven't ridden anyone famous but when I was a student I saw practice at the stud where Michael Whitakers ride Didi was standing and did have to groom and muck him out. It was suggested that I rode him but I think they were joking.

Ridden some good ones down at Talland if that counts- including one of Charlie's junior horses.
Other than that I dont think so.....
 
I rode my old trainers horses - smooch who was longlisted for the athens olympics for the NZ event team i got to play with in the school and Hero (show name Velocity) who was her eventer, that ben maher rode in the hickstead eventers grand prix i also popped on in the school when she was trying to show me what a horse of that experience should feel like.

I used to muck Pjort out and I sometimes had to go and catch him after he'd been lose schooled because nobody could get near the bugger, does that count aswell

I haven't but my sister i think had ridden Master Chip who has been round with Badminton with Alec Lochore. She has also ridden the stallion Dorian have a amazing photo of them popping over the top of the barrels.

Umptee (the best horse i ever sat on) (4 star Horse)
