I have the first one to do today. It came in on Monday but I just started cycling to work again after it was too wet to do it so have been worn out when I've got home. I decided to take the car today, just so I can do the Pilates this evening.

My leg muscles are all feeling tight agter 2 days of cycling, so the timing is perfect!

Wow, I did it! Managed the 12 sessions over the 6 weeks. I do feel stronger, some mornings my tummy has felt the exercise LOL.

I have 2 weeks off now before starting the next course.

The pretzel got easier, but I too found the pliates push ups tricky, I was always worried I would face-plant the mat LOL. The only exercise that made me sore as in almost injured was the day we started to stand on one leg. I seem to have an unstable SI and have injured it before doing a seemingly easy one leg stand. It is when I wobble and correct, it irritates round the SI.

For the 2 weeks off, I am going to do the Hyperbolic Stretching exercises. I never did get beyond the 1st week but that set of exercises seems to tuck my bum in and straighten my back, and my spine is a little too curved again.

She is doing a sign up for just the 1st course on its own, if anyone was interested.

Congrats! It's amazing what the consistency can do, isn't it.

I've decided to go back through courses 2 and 3 before moving on to the next course, as I realised I'd been doing it wrong (I was doing Mon sessions for the first 3 days of each week, then Thu sessions for the remainder, but apparently you're supposed to alternate Mon and Thu sessions to keep targeting the different body parts, doh).

Is this the Riders Pilates Club - would someone point me towards how to register for her courses please as I can only see the link to the 5 day trial which has finished. Thanks 😊

(The forum is doing something really odd with my posts - I can see 2 post 17s - but I shall report it elsewhere)

Week 4 of the second course, still loving it.

I love the FB posts where people say how their stronger seat saved them from a hooley, and the other week, BH went to dressage and had a young horse moment in the collecting ring. I didn't move, worked him through it and he went on to win. I do think this course helped in my strength.

Also, his canter has been somewhat rudimentary, very clumpy and on the forehand. Since noticing this new, firmer and more planted seat, I have been able to prevent him from diving on the forehand as badly. Hy heck, he is getting better!

Can I ask how many times per week you do the sessions? Do you do half an hour every day? ETA (I’m only on the first course , I’m assuming you get 2 x half hour videos per week?)
I’m struggling to do it on a daily basis and tend to cram in an hour per day on Saturday and Sunday

A couple of questions for people about this:

Do you need a Facebook page to take part (I don't have one)?

Are there many exercises that put pressure on your elbows? I have golfers elbows and have to be really careful with the exercises I do.

Thanks in advance. :)

Jess is really helpful, there's a live Q and A session so you can ask about elbow issues etc. Think you just need an email, though the info is on Facebook. Thoroughly recommend these courses.
