Riding holidays.

I did a Free Rein holiday in Wales which was great, but we had fabulous weather. I don't know what it would be like on the top of a Welsh mountain in rain!

It is a very good, well organised operation. The horses are sort of welsh cob types, so don't expect flashy TBs. I would advise taking a seat saver of some sort! They have been running these holidays for years and years and do it well.

We went on a group ride, with a leader who knew the route so we could relax and enjoy the scenery. Enough trotting and cantering to keep it interesting and some leading too, down steep slopes, but I think that stopped us from being too stiff as well as it was 5-6 hours in the saddle.

Just lovely surroundings, following old roads and bridlepaths with only sheep for company.
