Am off to Bude in Cornwall for long weekend next week and would love to go for a beach ride! Does anyone know any good riding centres within a reasonable drive of there that I could try? Thanks!

The only place I know is Wheal Buller in Redruth which is about 50 miles away, is that too far?
They do fab beach rides over at Gwithian and Hayle Towans, I've been on several and loved every one of them.

There is one just on the outskirts of Bude, but will have to find the name as I can't remember it.

I went on one on the cliffs in Bude a few years ago but cant for the life of me think of the name was real good fun not sure if they did actual beach rides tho.

Reen Manor in Perranporth do amazing ride onto perranporth beach. but then you are looking at about an hours drive!

If you go to the tourist centre there they have leaflets for everything you will probably find one in there hth

ive been riding there on holiday since i was like 2!
It takes u past where i used to stay -The cliff hotel and you ride over the cliffs. very pretty, u can see the sea the whole way

I used to go riding at a place cant remember the stables name
but its on Maer Lane in Bude really nice set up never went on the beach but did some lovely clifftop rides with great gallops

Sorry to drag up an old post but I'm currently staying in bude on the camping holiday resort and it's right next to Maer Lane which is were I've read has the stables but having walked down the lane several times I can't see any stables!! Has it closed down now or moved does anyone know?

I've had several lovely hacks here. The last notable one was on a big bay called Coral. They are conditioned where to canter/trot pretty much but still lovely. The hack I went on involved an interesting winding canter up a spiralling lane leading into some woods. Thinking about it, it was pretty hairy! Lovely owners and escorts!

Hi,try Broomhill Manor stables-the stables are separate to the cottages & I know they do beach rides. Will get number for you in a mo 😀
