When I saw the snow this morning I though "Great!! Can ride in the snow for the first time
!!" (have never done it before as didnt have a pony or was at school or something). Got to the yard and let Ted into the school to have a run around
he loved it ... rolled and jumped the jump that was up on his own ... heres some pics ...
After this I rode him for a quick canter across the field ... literally about 5 minutes of being ridden, not even that ... and then I had a thought. Will riding him in the snow put strain on his legs? I walked across a field of snow to get to him and my legs started to ache after a while but I didnt really think about this until I was in the saddle .. I got off as soon as I thought of it as I didnt want to put him at risk. But do you think he would have been okay or did I do the right thing getting off him?
