I'm 33 and as a child used to take great delight in having a hairnet, Jods and shining my very cheap rubber boots.

Now I have my own ponies I wear what I like, whatever is comfy and more often than not whatever I can lay my hands on that is dry and cleanish. This includes pj bottoms on occassion ( not when I ride in company though).

Jodhs or breeches only. Jeans are uncomfortable. I have not tried anything else. Jodhs are so much cheaper now. The last ones I bought were under a tenner earlier this year.

I ride mostly in some full length cycling trousers I bought from Lidl. They are really comfortable, stretchy and padded underneath. They cost a fiver !

I'm with you OP, I don't feel comfortable in anything but breeches, preferably with 'sticky bum'.
But then I started riding when we all wore hacking jackets most of the time!

Same here :)
Occasionally wear cheapy pull-on jodhs (warm ones for winter) but still have proper look & leg (knee patch) protection with them :)
Also with well fitting hat, gloves & decent leather boots - long or Jodhpur boots with chaps :)

Always ride in breeches, never ridden in trackies and bought my first pair in my life there the other day! I'd be too scared of slipping in trackies or damaging the saddle

i ride in breeches or skinny jeans. TBH i can't afford £40 for breeches so only have a couple of pairs. I normally just buy primark skinny jeans for less than £10

I pretty much always wear jods. I've worn leggings a few times recently as it's been hot but don't like them as they are slippy and I have no pocket for my phone!

I've worn normal bootcut jeans for riding western which is fine, I've ridden in skinny jeans a couple of times and I just find it uncomfortable. I was considering getting a pair of primark super soft skinny jeans to try as they're so much cheaper than jods but I couldn't decide on colour!

The only time I've worn trackies for riding is when it was incredibly cold and the horse I was riding was coming back from injury so only allowed to walk in the school. I had no other way of staying warm than wearing trackies over jods or leggings or something.

I don't like how they look though, I like to look relatively smart when I ride, as in proper boots, jods and tshirt.

Only ride in jeans as find them so comfy, joddies are for shows.

When your riding everyday you wear what you like, it does make me laugh these people at our yard wearing cream joddies riding once a fortnight. Would rather have a fit horse than worry about what I wear to ride in.

I always wear jods for lessons or if I'm doing a proper schooling session. I work on a yard though so I go through jods so quickly that I usually just wear an old and very comfy pair of skinny jeans instead. I prefer jods though, if only I was made of money

I ride in leggings (2 pairs in the winter) and full length chaps with short boots - ideal protection against flies in the summer, brambles, nettles etc. and keeps me warm in winter. When it's really really cold I wear a snow boarding suit with loads of layers underneath. I don't actually like jodhpurs - I find them really uncomfortable and restricting.
