My girl can't waltz off without you all knowing and appreciating how beautiful and talented she was.
She has been retired competitively since I joined HHO, so I suppose most of you know her as a happy hack, nanny to my batty youngsters and broodmare - the perfect mum to Pancake who she leaves aged 10months.

Prior to this, Tilly has represented the UK, England, Wales, and the Midlands in polocrosse and won best playing pony awards. She was immensely talented, brave and versatile. Aside from the polocrosse, she learnt to jump, did beach rides, fun rides, dressing up, gymkhana games, hacked for miles and galloped round fields while the farmer wasn't looking.... all the things a family member should.

I have enjoyed every second with Tills, and I was only saying to a friend the other day about how she would leave the biggest hole. I hadn't imagined how soon. None of us know how we will cope without her, after my accident with Fee on Friday she was lined up to resume her role as chief nanny.
Last night Tills left with the whole family around her, all telling her how wonderful she was, and how much we love her.

Anyway, the pictures will show you just a fraction of how special she was.

She was absolutely stunning...what a lovely quality yet also versatile mare! There are so few of those types around now. She sounds as though she was worth her weight in gold. What a smashing foal Pancake is. RIP Tilly

QR Bounty,
I am so sorry to read this, I had fingersx last night.
She was the same age as mine and it has left the biggest hole. yesterday was the first day in 5 mths that i went up to his stable and washed a few rugs cos it was a good drying day!
You have had a really bad time of it of late and I do hope this is the end of it.
We are only given trials to the ones that can cope so you must be a very strong women!!!!
Thinking of you

She was stunning and what a wonderful time you had with her. Thank God her foal was weaned and you have her baby - who has a lot to live up to!

So very sorry for you.

She's beautiful and looks so happy in all those photos.
You obviously gave her a super life and no-one can do more for their horse than that.

Take care x

Bounty I am so sorry she really was stunning. I can see by the photos how much you loved her and I can also see she loved you.

It is early days but you should remember all the happy times not just that she gave you but the ones you gave her as well.

Take care

Gosh she's beautiful. There is a silver lining in some ways - she lives on through Pancake - who has certainly got her looks. Poor Pancake, must be so heart-broken. I wonder how much of these things horses understand.

RIP beautiful Tortilla xx
