I had one that did really well on RF ulcer products but it was the liquid. A livery has just used PRE ULC and seems much happier but won't eat the ULX30 powder which seems to be all you can get now. It smells like rotten eggs so I don't blame the horse. Someone said the liquid contained caffeine so wasn't competition legal hence not being available anymore. The livery contacted RF who said just to keep her on the PRE ULC.

Out of interest those of you who saw no difference at all, do you know the horses actually have ulcers?
Maybe there is nothing to improve?

I have used it and saw no difference either but I’d used it for peace of mind thinking if it made any change I’d scope.
I’ve also used remount for a laminitic and think it did make a difference.

Short answer is No, I've never had him scoped, but his symptoms improve with Acid Ease. This time the Acid Ease improved him about 50%, so I suspected hind gut ulcers because he had a high tapeworm count this year (unusually), and tapeworms cause damage around the caecum, so he's been on Gut Balancer for a week and I have seen a big difference in him - he's so much happier.

I am glad that I found this post! The description of the symptoms including resting the hind legs, being funny with the right hind, is exactly what my pony does.
My barefoot trimmer suggested I contact Ron Fields as she suspects my pony has stress-caused ulcers. He is field-kept and spent the first 6 years of his 8-year life on open moorland, so he is not an obvious candidate for ulcers, but she thought that he might have stress-related ulcers, which have been caused by the big change in his life-style after so many years, and the fact he is naturally an anxious sort of pony with a very high level of self-preservation, and it is this that exacerbates his rather reactive nature and excessive anxiety, even taking his rather unusual background into account.
I will report back if I have any news.

Did the course of Pre-Ulc then Ulc-Ex & Remount for girthy/grumpy horse over period of 6 months & saw small improvement, then huge deterioration (KS needed medicating again). I was told I'd need to do Gut Restart & start the process all over again.

I swapped to Ekygard instead & am seeing good improvements, probably more so than when I used the RF products, but aware this could be due to her back being more comfortable...
