hi, im thinking about getting rubber matting for my stable. How often do you have to take all the matting out for the stable floor to dry or does it absorb it all up? Im not to sure. lol.
Chuck a bucket of water at the back of your stable, if the water drains out, then a yearly clean out should be fine. If the water collects anywhere, then you may need to lift the edge of the mat more frequently to flush out the urine. Making a bigger bed to soak up the wet will help reduce the amount of urine collecting underneath.
Depends if you are buying matting for making the stable floor warm and to help protect joints or if its to reduce bedding costs and mucking out time.
