So all you lovely people, I am about to buy a new set of winter rugs as my old ones are looking rather tired and my mare has grown out of her hand-me-downs.
Do you prefer a neck on a rug or not? Most of the ones I have are combos but I don't think the necks really ever fit properly. Obviously I'd like some sort of neck for turnout since she's a muddy beast.
Also if anybody has any reviews of the four seasons boots of le mieux for drying legs overnight?
Much appreciated
I prefer fixed neck every time and fold back underneath the neck on dry days, so two in one.
I don't like detachable ones as:
1. the zippers often bung up with mud so you cannot undo it or zipper it back up
2. d rings often come unstiched.
Rugs I like are Shires and Maxima as they are light weight on the horse and dry quickly they are also very roomy for horses with big chests
