Looking for a middleweight stable rug (either no neck or removable neck) and a heavyweight turnout rug.

Price up to about £70ish each.

Really really like the weatherbeeta belmont stable rug, but have a feeling that it would be far too warm for him! shame.

Thanks in anticiption (maybe someone has a poor rug that needs a new home??

Another Horseware fan here - the Amigo stable rugs are a good price and wear really well. I have the lightweight and the 'heavyweight' ones, I think they are about 150g and 300g fill respectively. Both of mine fit in our yard washing machine so as a bonus are really easy to keep clean.

fwiw, I have a Belmont combo and it really is quite toasty - I usually only bring it out of storage in the middle of winter.

i like shires n mastas i have a very wide show cob n they give him plenty of room i also have the problem he gets to hot if the rug is a heavy weight so have to be carefull

I really like the fal rugs but cant afford one at the moment so got a Mark Todd MW and HW turnout last year for my TB and we only used the MW, fits really well too. Mark Todd also do a MW stable rug with detachable neck cover for approx £75.00

I've just bought the weatherbeeta Tristar and I have to say I'm very impressed!

It's a middleweight stable rug (200g) with a lightwieght (100g) turnout rug to go over the top, or on it's own. Turnout part has a detachable neck too. So it's horses entire winter wear in one - light weight for autum and spring +/- neck peice as required, stable rug and a heavy weight for winter.

Serious high denier, the brillaint huge tail flap but no stupid 'freestyle' darted shoulder thingy (that doesn't seem to fit anything) just the normal gusset, really high quiality fittings, lovely colour and great fit on my deeper horses. Very please with it
