Do you think that rugs shrink in the wash? Turnout and stable. I'm convinced certain ones do slightly. Even though most of mine are professionally washed they always seem to come back a slightly more tighter fit, so for that reason I have gone up a size for an Amigo Insulator stable rug that I have just ordered as the old one I have in a 6ft 6" is definitely too small now. I am also looking at getting a new Fal m/w or h/w turnout rug for my mare. Are they a generous fitting or would I be best to get one at her normal rug size rather than one size up?

Hmm, don't know about that - I've never had a rug shrink after washing. I think I'd be looking for someone else to wash them for me if they did!

I can't see turnout rugs shrinking, but maybe stable rugs can because they are made of different materials than turnouts.
I certainly wouldn't buy a larger rug 'incase' as it may never shrink and certainly won't fit to start with.
