right, im having abit of trouble with my fatty of a mare, she has just come back into work and as the pounds are sheading i think she's getting cold, she's a section d mare and is quite chunky so she needs a rug with a large sholder gusset but only a thin one as i dont want her getting too hot as she is a native after all they don't need that much warmth but with the snow up her at the moment she just getting abit fed up. please don't say she's a native she doesn't need one as i thought that but now i really feel she does.
i'd be greatful for any help/brand recomendations but has to have that all important large gusset :) thanks

My section D is a big lad and I find that weatherbeta rugs fit fine on him without being to low at the front. My 3 horses have 4 weatherbetas between them and no rug rubs for the last 2 yrs while i have used them and when cleaned look like new.
I would highly recommend.
My boy also has a summer weight Amigo that we both love ( got that for £17 ebay) bargain.

PS Mine are all natives or cobs and I rug them too.... shhhhh dont tell anybody

I would definitely recommend the Weatherbeeta Landa rugs as they are very generous around the shoulders. One of my boys has a very wide chest and I always find these fit him really well. :)
