Rugs, saddle cloths, boots.. it all needs to be washed!

Hi all :)
Unfortunately my loan horse is going back on the 26th of this month, as I don't' have the time to do my A levels, keep her fit and work for her keep, so I've had to make the hard decision to send her back.
The problem is, she only came with a set of turnout boots and a bridle, so I have a LOT of stuff that is mine. I have convinced my non horsey parents to let me keep it all in the garage, but the only condition is, that it must all be clean. So now I have 7 sets of boots, a set of travelling boots and a tail guard, 2 fleeces, 2 coolers, 2 lightweights and a mid weight, as well at least 10 saddle cloths, and 5 sets of bandages, 3 ride on's, 5 girths and finally 4 heacollars and 4 leadropes, all of this needs to be washed, and packaged up, to fit into 1 chest freezer and 2 feed bins.
My problem is that i am not made of money, and i don't drive so the local rug washing services are out of question, and i have asked my mum about using her washing machine for the smaller stuff, but the answer is a loud, stern NO.
So does anyone know of a rug/horse stuff cleaning service, that will either pick up my stuff and bring it back, or that i can send my stuff to and they'll send it back?
The plan is, to hand wash the stuff that is easy to clean, and gradually over a few months send off the rugs and bigger stuff, in a dew lots to give me time to earn the cash to pay for it all.
So any service recommendations that i can ship it off to them and they'll send it back? Or any other ideas??? :)

PS. i forgot to add the saddle, bridle, 2 breast plates, a saddle bag, a bridle bag, and a bandages bag. But these things i can wash myself by hand so it shouldn't be a problem :)

You could run this past your Mum as a compromise: get one of those fab orange zip up wash bags (sorry haven't got a link but google or eBay are your friend). They cost £16 so won't break the bank and I've washed plenty of smelly hairy rugs/numnahs in my newish washing machine inside said bag with not a problem or a stray hair. Really recommend and save you a fortune.

Have a good search for rug washing services, mine do a collection and drop off service, there might be one near you and you could ask if they will put other stuff through the wash for you too. I do also recomend the orange wash bags- I think they are made by Mountain Horse.
 
Where are you ? There was a rug company in east Sussex that did pick-up and drop offs and wasn't expensive . Think it was simply rugs or something like that.
 
My local laundrette are happy for you to wash anything there, dog beds, horse rugs etc, and its not expensive. THey have one huge machine which easily takes a large heavyweight rug or two. And their normal size machines take everything else. You may have to pay for a second wash to clean it after you but at £4 a machine its not expensive.
 
Or wait til your mum has gone out for the day and do a whole load of washing super quick! Just make sure you put it on an empty quick wash to get rid of the evidence! As long you brush everything off carefully before you wash it, you shouldn't leave too much hair in the washing machine :)
 
I like the bag to use in the washing machine idea :)

Might also be worth you buying some vacuum storage bags as they will save you a lot of space!
 
Turn out rugs really need to be done professionally but every thing else can go in an orange bag ( or a duvet cover) in a domestic machine. If you can't use your mum's use the laundrette.

When my mum went to work all my ponies stuff went into the machine, Including girths and grooming kits!
She'd have killed me. After your done wipe all round with a old cloth or something them put it on a rinse cycle!
I still have to do this in my 30's as my O/H is convinced anything horsey will wreck the washing machine ;)

Thanks everyone :) I've decided to sell the lightweight, and fleeces, coolers etc, things that i'm not really attached to and will be cheap to replace. So that just leaves the mid weight to do, and the rest of the stuff that's small etc, i will just buy the orange bag and pop it in the washing machine when mum not home :D
I already have vacuum bags so that's all sorted :D Thanks again for the ideas :)
Just one last question, what do i do with the buckets and haynets? I'm going to uni next year so i won't have a horse just yet, and i'm just not sure whether it's worth keeping the buckets and haynets??
