My Mum's eldest Cocker, Dubh, made his final trip to the Vet's this morning
He was a cracking dog in his prime, worked tirelessly all season, ran (and won) in a few Field Trials and even starred in a film
He only officially retired from picking up at the start of last season at the grand old age of 12, and even then it was mainly due to a lack of hearing and a tendancy to bury game, given the chance he would have still gone all day long!
However, the last few weeks had seen a change in him and my Mum decided he wasn't happy anymore, so the decision was made.
Sleep tight, Dubhy Dog, have fun with Midge chasing the bunnies.
