Not been around much (career change, lots of work!).... just had to post because yesterday I had to take my old lady lab Meg to the vets for the final time at the grand old age of 15. She lost a lot of weight over xmas but was still very lively so upped her food and carried on. On Friday she was suddenly very unsteady and weak, on saturday she developed a massive blood filled abscess on her ear which burst leaving lots of mess and smell. Took her to the vets and he agreed that the damage was too much for her and that PTS would be the kindest thing. So, I held her in my arms as she went to sleep, very tearful but my vet was a rock for me, such a kind man.... DH couldn't stay in the room but I am so glad I was there for her, I brought her into our lives 4 years ago as a weak and infection riddled bag of bones with no light in her eyes. She blossomed, and grew stronger and slotted right in as a family member, Boss' best friend, a waggy tail and a happy face every day she was the worlds most perfect dog, kind, affectionate, loyal and gentle beyond imgaination.

RIP old meg, run pain free xxx

I'm sorry for your loss, the photo really shows that she certainly had the sparkle back in her eyes after coming to live with you.

R.I.P. Meg.

About the name change, it is due to the HHO upgrade, all users now automatically have the same display/user name as the name they log in as. If you began as jules1982 and also have it as your login name, then asked Admin to change your display name to Bossdog, while continuing to log in as jules1982, then the upgrade made you become jules1982 again.
You need to e-mail Admin ( hheditor@ipcmedia.com ), title it vBulletin - change login/display name, and ask them to change your login name so that Bossdog becomes both your login and display name.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss, lots of {{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}.
