I’m gutted, I had to have my old boy put to sleep this morning. I’d had him for almost 10 years and he was retired for over half that - but he was a really super horse and much loved by all who knew him.
He had been a bit off colour at the start of the week, nothing hugely concerning, but went rapidly downhill this morning. When I saw him I knew deep down this would be it. Thankfully the vet was with us within the hour and he departed this world very calmly and peacefully.

The big bay horse in the photos is his best friend who died in August 2020; the coloured mare is our girl who died in May 2021.

Rest in peace Arrow (aka Mr Pig), it was a privilege to have you as my first horse and I will miss you so much.
