Saddle cloth recommendations

Griffin Nuumed - I always use a Dressage Numnah or Saddlepad HiWither for my TB. However check out their website - they've got various designs, features, colours etc to choose from.

Le Mieux are shaped nicely to fit the horse well. They are well made, have numerous colours, are quite expensive but last forever. You are using a first class numnah so why bother looking for another make?

Ps of Sweden and equestrian Stockholm have some beautiful saddle pads - very expensive though! I’ve got a lemieux and a felix buhler, both of which are very nice although the Lemieux is a bit more hard-wearing

Lemieux rub mine eventually. For everyday I like eskadron big squares, my saddle is slighty on the wide side so can easily accommodate a slightly thicker pad :) The binding is softer than LM and they have a waffley lining.

I've had a few issues with the le mieux rubbing. Love the pads (and the colours!) and most of the time they're ok. I've just had to but the sensitive one and whilst this one is ideal is £50 per pad!

a bit of subject but i love numnahs rather than saddle pads. Its sounds silly but it makes a big difference :) cooler for him, they fit under the saddle so no excess around his side, he listens to my aids so much better as when i need to tap with the whip it is there, the bigger pads block it. I have a griffin wool lined dressage numanh which i got for £18.00 in the sale. I have ordered a poly pad dressage numnah which i am excited to arrive as my griffin is a bit grubby :)

Also i think they look far smarter as you can see more of the horse not a blanket.

I have Eskadron, Eurostar & Equestrian Stockholm - all are lovely. The Eskadron GP is very fwd cut though so I don't think it looks as neat with my saddle. The Eurostar last well and sit very neatly. The ES is a new purchase (found a bargain on FB marketplace as I couldn't justify the RRP!), it's lovely quality and fits/stays nicely and seems to wick well, but I've only used it for one comp. so far.

I like Eskadron- the big squares fit well and are soft. I have to use a lambskin underlay in the winter though whatever the saddlecloth or he gets rubs. If you want a thicker pad, the Anky pads are great. I’ve had a couple for 5 years plus and they still look lovely.

I'm another supporter of numnahs for the same reason as Horsekaren.

Our tb is very slight so pads just seen to smother him - I think he looks much nicer in something cut to the saddle shape.

We love both Lemieux and Nuumed as good quality, well fitting investments!

Griffin numed are impossible to beat .
Le meiux rub too many horses I don’t buy them anymore .
I also lots of HKM squares they are cheap and last well .

I have to sit on my hands everytime I browse the Schokemohle saddle pads they have some lovely colour combinations fortunately this season's colours arent ones I usually go for so I'm safer 😉 they are pricey though and I cant justify one when I'm trying to save money!

I also have an HKM one that i bought a few years at Hickstead and its only just starting to show wear after multiple washes, again a gorgeous colour combination but they dont seem to make that design any more.

I like the main colour pad then a contrast binding, I dont do logos or badges or BLING I'd make an exception for the Schokemohle logo as it's fairly discreet.
