I have quite a wide young horse who I am currently riding in an extra wide cob T6 thorough good. It's a nice saddle but I'm not the biggest fan. It slips even with an anti slip pad, although professionaly fitted.
It's a bit of a challenge as the main reason it slips is his right shoulder currently has less muscle in it than the left.
Normally I would ride on the right rein to try and build it up , but his left rein is his most unballanced and the one he really needs to be ridden on, (Bit of a catch 22!).
Choices are H&C cut saddle at some expense, continuing with what I've got but just concentrate on Hacking in straight lines while he grows - or your sugestions...
