Saddle slipping

Many girths have elastic attached which has much too much give in it. It must be strong, and yes, it may go a hole higher than a non-elascticate girth, how it feels when you slip your hand under is it what matters. I hate the weak elastic that most companies use. And horses for courses, I can't think of a horse I've used one of our girths on that hated it - there are Atherstones and Atherstones.

oh and it has 4 girth straps, some people say put it on the 1st and 4th but some say put it on the 1st and 3rd, whats right?

Hi there, I've had a Wintec Wide fitted by a saddle fitter with 4 girth straps and was told to use girth strap 1 & 4.......

good luck with your search.... for I have exactly the same problem with wide flat backed welsh cobs....

I have got a limpet anti slip numnah which is very good but you cannot find these for love nor money now.....
