Hi all
I'm looking for saddle fitter recommendations in Gloucestershire/Herefordshire, to fit my youngster in the next few months.
Ideally they should have a wide range of saddles available (particularly in wide fit

)
If they'd also be willing to check the fit of my oldy's saddle, that would be helpful, too.

Your recommendations, please?
Thanks

stroud saddlery have a big selection of saddles. The Native Pony Saddle Co/Saddle Exchange are based in Weston-super-Mare & will travel to you. They will have a lot of wide fit saddles.

I use Colne Saddlery - Maurice Emtage (shop is just outside Gloucester) and have always been happy with them. I had a new saddle from Maurice about 3 years ago. I originally wanted a 2nd hand jumping saddle so he brought a huge range to try including a couple of new ones

I ended up ordering a new one, but he lent me one to use in the meantime until it was available.

I also use them to check and reflock my dressage saddle which I got elsewhere. They usually seem to have a good selection of new and 2nd hand.

If you're not too far from the Welsh border Graham Butt and Llwynon Saddlery near Brecon is excellent. You have to take the horse to him as he has all the facilities on site to sort your saddle out there and then so you're not waiting for a week for it, and a wide range of new and second hand saddles. I go there from Cardiff, over an hour's trip but well worth it.

Llwynon saddlery are good

Have heard mixed reports about Colne - they do tend to try to sell you a new one rather than a 2nd hand - better mark up I suppose.

Horse Boutique in Leominster - really helpful, friendly knowledgable people - good range of saddles.

John Kington from Newent and Maurice from Colne are both good - I've had saddles fitted by both. John Kington re built one saddle for me and did a fab job.
