what injections are you using and how much do they cost?

She started off having an ointment that the vet had to put oon because it would burn skin, then the vet gave us some cream to put on every day and night and that didn't work so every 3 weeks shes having an injecction in it.
I'm not sure what the injections are she did tell me but i've forgotton and i don't have a clue how much it costed. I think it was around £900, but she also had several on her stomach aswell.

ok thanks, we have one with rather a lot of sarcoids and have been using homeopathic remedies by request of the owner and has done nothing. we have some paste from the vets that did get rid of quite a few but still some left. If the njections are injected into the sarcoid itself i think it would be out of the question for ours. We still have the liverpool cream option to try though which is the one your vet had to do.

What a difference!!

Do you know what the injection was?? My Welsh Cob has just had his second lot of treatment with Liverpool Cream, as first lot didnt work! Im just trying to find other options if this treatment doesnt work again!

bet it has been fiddley treating it so close to the eye. looks like your vet has done a good job with it.
my vet originally banded my mares, looked like a grape under her chest near the inside of her leg where the crease of skin is. But it only agravated it and it grew just larger than a golf ball in the space of two weeks. So we had the Liverpool cream treatment (the high strength version). it is now aproximately 4 months since she had the treatment and all thats left is a line and a little puckering of the skin around it which you can only find if you know it was there.

The injection used is the same injection they use for the human BCG vacination. Again there is still nothing to say that it works 100% or even 50% success rate but it does seem to be coming more common to use than other methods used by vets.

Good to see that your horse is healing well.
