I rarely post but am so excited I just had to share my news! :D

I sat on my youngster for the first time ever tonight :D
He was such a little star about it all and not remotely bothered.

AHHHHH well done!!!! Thats brilliant news. Out of interest what work did you do before thism leaning over etc? I am just nosey and interested in stuff like this :)

Nope! He's too greedy for that- which is handy! I was SO, SO excited and pleased to have done it :) He was such a star. He's done a fair bit of ride and lead so I didn't think he would be too bothered about me being astride :)

What a good boy. He looks lovely.

Can I just say though. Please don't get on him while he is tied up under an over hang, it could have been nasty for you both.

Well done though

I'd leant over him with some weight on him a couple of times over a couple of weeks and then put my full weight on him tonight. Did this 5-6 times whilst he was eating his haynet with lots of praise and pats. Let him shift his weight about so he took a few steps left and right.
I could tell from how relaxed he was and how well i know him that he was unlikely to bother if I sat astride him so I just went for it. I had a helper to hand but didn't need it. :)

Thanks for your concern but I did a risk assessment and the rope wasn't tied :)

Ahhhh well done! Your boy looks lovely. :D Got on my girl about 5 weeks ago now & she reacted very similar to yours She hasn't bothered about anything yet either which is alway a bonus!

I think my main worry is when they are about to walk on, with you on top for the first time and them thinking, eek whats that?! But he does look really lovely. More pics :D
