I am far from being a racing fan and do not often watch. who is the girl in the pale suit that is commenting on the runners in the parade? shes being pretty negative about some of the runners.

We are on route home from Newcastle where our biggest success was both horses won BTO 😂 we've just pulled into Purdy Lodge services to watch the race. I'm hoping the wee bar/restaurant thing here has it on the TV.

It was moved later to avoid football, and in theory it's cooler later on.

Blimey elf! You’re about 5 miles from where I live! 👋👋👋👋👋

It was well advertised that protesters were going to try something today. Im surprised more has not been done to try and stop it.

Agree - should there have been more police around the course - it's unlikely they'd have used the main entrance because they knew they wouldn't get in.

The football club I support have protests against the ownership but it's generally peaceful, chants, scarves etc.

Are ITV handling this well? I'm not entirely sure

The security has been incredibly tight round the main part of the racecourse. There have been 1 or 2 helicopters hovering over the course for each day's racing.

Short of ringing the entire site with police side by side riot style for a week you can't patrol every single inch of it.
