Another with fingers and toes crossed for the "tank". I've had BTs eat rat poison on three different occasions, the BTs survived and OH who put the poison down, nearly didn't!
It looked rather bleak at several points but clearly these vets do not understand the resolve and stubbornness of a corgi.
They called this morning to say she could come home as long as rest, small meals, and close eye kept on her - mainly as she was being a demon for the out of hours vets and not playing ball. overnight obs were better than previous day at our usual vets, bloods were ok, and she’d ate a small meal.
She’s very quiet, feeling rather sorry for herself, and not quite right - will have to go back for a MOT on her ticker too, but she’s home (almost) in one piece. looks ridiculous with chicken drumstick front legs, and I wasn’t best pleased with the out of hours vets and their lack of listening about handling her - she appeared with blood everywhere/still bleeding from where they removed the cannula (and struggled as she dislikes her feet touched) and due to this, they hadn’t tried to dress it. Not the best.
She is still not quite right and very quiet for her, but her appetite is back so I know she’s getting back to normal. She is also bossing the others around so that’s promising. One bonus is I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat chocolate again after what she produced (mostly all over me rather than the pee pads stationed around the consulting room) after the sickness jab!
