Well on Sat we went to pickup the new lad. It was all very sad and I could see how hard it was for his owner.
He loaded and travelled like a star and was so chilled when we arrived. I tied him to the side of the lorry while we unloaded everything then we put him out in the paddock next to the horrid one. He just put his head down and started grazing. You would have thought he had lived here all his life. Eventualy he went over to say hello to Herbs. Herbie squiled afew times and ponsed up and down the fence line. Merryn just stood there looking at him wondering what on earth he was doing. Then he just got back to the important task of grazing.
I left him on Sat to settle in. Sunday morning all was still well when I went to see him and put his muzzle on. But at lunchtime when I went to check him I discovered he had taken his muzzel off
It was on the fence between his paddock and Herbs so I do wonder if he had had alittle help in removing it
I put it back on and he stood there looking very un impressed.
In the afternoon I got him in and lunged him. He was fab. He trotted when I asked him to and didn't argue once
.
This morning I took him for a ride in the forest. He was a bit lookie at first and snorted at afew things but that was it. No spooking, napping, rearing, bucking, just a nice pleasent ride
He didn't even bat an eyelid at the wild ponies.
It's so nice to have a pony who doesn't have behavoural issues (Shhhhh don't tell horrid I said that
He was amazing when I hacked him out today to
)
Anyway as promised here are some pics of Merryn.
And for all the Horrid ones fans

Sorry the photos arn't that good but it was raining all weekend. I'll try to get some better ones when I have more time and the weathers nicer.
Please no rude comments about how Fat he is I'm fully aware of this fact and was before I took him on.
Thankyou for looking
