Help! My sister has asked for a schooling whip (dressage whip) with a flat end instead of a tassle end. I've never heard of them and a scan on Ebay didn't show any up either.
Do they exist? And if so, where would I find one?
Many thanks!

I got a Jefferies one from my local saddler

Shires do a leather one with a little leather flap end

I did get told it looked like a fishing rod as its quite long.... however I think its all the better to chase them with!!

Thank you all - I knew you would be able to help!
Much as I fancy watching my sister try and fish off a 17hh jumper, I think I'll leave the fishing rods to my dad and try the other...
Just a case of getting one delivered for Saturday - oops!

I'll have look in CFL tomorrow just in case, thank you! Would have thought it was a bit specialised for them though... I have no idea why she wants one??

I bought one from a local saddlery after going to a clinic with Paul Fielder. It may be a Jeffries one Im not sure.
The sound certainly encorages the horse to go forwards

Agreed! I bought one for a horse that napped on the road - I wanted to be able to give it a slap without taking my hands off the reins. Really effective! Got mine from Derby House for about £7 but don't know if the cheap ones are in the catalogue, I found mine in one of the stores.
