Hello, apologies this isn’t a tack question but I was advised to hop over here from another thread.

I’m trying to locate my beautiful horse’s twin! Part-Arab palominos born on July 8th, 2006!

Sire: Grassendale Cream Icon
Dam: Voski

I didn’t know that she was a twin until yesterday, as this information must have been lost as she passed hands. However, I contacted her breeder asking for baby photos/ photos of Mum and Dad and discovered she is a TWIN! Awww lovely pics! I hope someone, somewhere recognises them and you find the 15 yr old twin, that would be amazing!

Did you ask the breeder if they remember who bought the twin? What area the twin moved to at least?

Have you tried Facebook page - Trace my horse UK' ?
I’m not allowed to post in it, they have rules against searching for siblings and breeders. I did post to the sister page though, but it doesn’t have many followers. Plus the owner of the twin may not know the horse is a twin, as I didn’t know she was until yesterday!

I’ve emailed the breeder asking for some more information, and also the Arab society as she’s registered with them.

I hope someone recognises them too, as they both have distinctive blazes. In fact the twin could even be classed as having a bald, hard to tell though with their colouring?

Brilliant I’ll try them out, especially as I know the passport name now and that they’re both girlies! Should be easier to locate ❤️

Yes I think it might be, but the post was from 7 years ago! It would make sense as Honey (Verni) was also from Staffordshire. I’ll see if I can connect with the advert
I searched for 15 yr old part arab palominos in uk on google and found a 13.3hh for sale, has white stockings but cant see face clearly:

Can’t believe you found this! Ads dead but at least we know she was around Staffordshire. Might try posting in the Staffordshire thread too.

Hi RR,

I’d suggest posting in the Facebook group for Palominos and Cremellos UK. I’m a member had had a quick look. I can’t find her directly but the lady who had her sire is there and I know a lot of the people there know their pally / PBA lines backwards so might well know where she is. And lots of your mare’s relatives are there too.

There is also Palomino Arabians which is global

I do hope you find her, it would be lovely for you both. Your mare is gorgeous and I have such a soft spot for palomino high % Arabs, I have one myself.

The passport agency/breed society won't be able to give contact details out because of data protection but if you write to them and write the new owners a letter containing your contact details they should post it in to you to the owners. I found a pony I used to own once by doing this. :)

Ooooo this is amazing! I’ll do that, as I need to send off her passport to be updated anyways (I purchased her in December)

if you don't get anywhere you could try the old fashioned way with horsey mags. Either pics and a letter to the readers page or even telling them your story with pics. It is pretty unusual and very sweet so they may help with a para "looking for her twin".
My friend tried to find her first landrover (some people love them as much as horses :)) she wrote to our local paper and someone came forward when they read her story and success!

You could start with Staffs. it can't be that big and must have just a few local papers. It might ring a few bells, pics of a mare and twins will stick in many people's minds. Just a thought. :)
