What a result. Well done for pursuing and well done to those who came up with so many suggestions. As for the ad, well what a bonus - no idea how you managed that Archangel. Looking forward to the meeting report and compulsory photos.

. It would be lovely to know if they recognised each other. :)

that would be a very interesting exercise. 2 of mine, same dad and same age lived in a barn with other siblings up to 1 yr when mine was purchased and removed. They had known each other since they were born. They had spent most of their time on their hind legs play fighting. 2 years later I bought one of the others. They instantly recognised each other and immediately continued their earlier moves.

It would be fascinating to see if 2 foals kept together for many months would do the same after around 14 years.

Brilliant news! Cant wait to hear about the reunion!

I wonder if equine twins have that in utero bond like human twins have? The weaning would be extra difficult i imagine, to wean from the dam aswell as the other twin.
I can’t imagine the shock of twins popping out as most births are singular, the odds of twins being so rare...this is such a lovely story!

Amazing story OP - the reunion will be super interesting. Did the owner of Verdi realise she was a twin.

There are a lot of equine births that are singular by design. Due to the danger of a twin birth, it is normal to abort (pinch) one of the foals if twins are scanned. It is pretty rare to have twins carried to term and both born healthy.
