Seaweed powder

I started my mare on it a few years ago, just as a cheap vit/min supplement as she doesn't get much hard feed. But she wouldn't eat it - it is quite pungent! I ended up chucking it away in the end and she now has Red Cell

I feed Seaquim supplement to all my horses, as they are on low amounts of hard feed, just to make sure thay get everything they need.

Thanks for that. Mine are on beet pulp and tiny amount of oats (about a good handful) just so I can get their supplements down them. Got some seaweed powder as a general all round so I'll see what they think - bet he will eat IT and she will turn her nose up!

Its a great all round supplement and is great for feet and coat condition.

Add a little into the feed gradually over time and they wont notice.

Yes I feed it, I stared it on him because he used to suffer from blocked pores and it cleared them up, kept him on it ever since and keeps his skin and coat in much better condition despite feeding a good diet, also put the Welshy on it too and it cleared up her scurfy areas as her coat was a bit of a mess when I took her on...along with smoe good elbow grease, she didn't like it at first but she had no choice, it was either eat it or leave you bucket feed lol.... her belly over came her tastebuds and she soon started to eat it, although you could bob some mint in just to disguise the smell.

You may find that you horses coat colour may change slightly.

Really?

I have now tried them on it but both of them said 'poooeee!!! mum, what's this muck??' I will try sneaking it in again now the mare will eat her feed with cider vinegar - maybe it will help disguise the taste a bit.

Thanks!
