Give it at least 30 minute to kick in and make sure they are nice and calm before they get it otherwise it can be totally ineffective (something to do with adrenaline in the system, my friend is a vet nurse and always tells people this)
Sedalin is not a 'calmer' it's a sedative containing ACP, it's a vet prescription substance.
No idea if it's suitable for freeze marking, but your vet should be able to tell you
It doesnt work with my horse....she just never see's to go...in saying that she did need twice the ammount of sedation on Tuesday so the vet could work on her foal
but usually 30mins-60mins on horses that have had it before I clip them
Has no effect on my horse at all! I used it last year to try clip her and there is no way we are going to manage to do it unless she is fully sedated by the vet! Am prepared now.
i used it when turning my mare out for the first time afte 8 months box rest - worked a treat - gave he 40 minutes after giving it to her before turning out, she just wondered into the paddock and ate some grass (only gave her part of a tube on vet instruction - cant remember exactly how much though...)
